Early Detection Importance

Early detection of skin cancer relies on knowing your skin, checking yourself every month.

Regular checks help find dangerous spots early when they are easiest to treat.

Detecting sun spots early means potentially avoiding cancer.

Sun spots and skin cancers that are identified and treated early have a better outcome than most other types of cancer.

How to Check Your Skin:

  • Find a bright room and stand in front of a full-length mirror.
  • Use a hand mirror to check hard-to-see spots like your back, scalp, and behind your ears.
  • Ask a helper like a family member or friend to look at your back and scalp.
  • Check everything from your head down to your toes, including palms, soles, and nails.

Thank You – Cops n Kids Fundraiser

Our June fundraiser has now finished!

Thank you to all of our patients for their generous donations.

We raised a total of $720.25 for ‘Cops n Kids Camp Ballarat’.

Cops n Kids Camp was Co-founded by Mr John Moloney back in 1995. They provide an all expenses paid weekend of fun for seriously ill children affected by cancer and life-threatening illnesses a chance to forget about their daily struggles and make some happy lasting memories with their families.

If you know someone who will benefit from attending one of these camps or would like to volunteer to assist at the camp, please speak to our reception team and they will happily supply you with the contact details for John Moloney.
