    Welcome to the Ballarat Skin Cancer Centre, located at the Ballarat Surgicentre. Our team of Dermatologists and staff specialise in the detection and management of skin cancers.

    The Ballarat Skin Cancer Centre provides the best possible surgical and non-surgical outcomes for patients with an established reputation for excellence.

    Equipped with a state of the art operating suite, treatment rooms, recovery and consulting rooms, we remain committed to safe same day surgery, and non-surgical treatments of skin cancer.

    Our purpose built facility, the Ballarat Surgicentre is a Private Day Hospital and is certified and accredited to the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS) Second Edition 2017.

    Get your skin checked

    It is important to get your skin checked regularly as most skin cancers can be cured if detected early. The aim of skin cancer screening is to detect skin cancers at the earliest possible stage to enable prompt and effective treatment. Unlike some skin cancer clinics, all skin cancer screenings at the Ballarat Skin Cancer Centre are performed by the Dermatologist themselves.

    Skin cancer screenings involve taking a thorough history and examination of the patient. The use of a Dermatoscope during the examination process improves the early detection of skin cancer, and reduces the need to undertake the excision of benign skin lesions.
